Black Rooibos – Aspalathus Linearis has many names.
In South Africa it is called: “Mountain Tea”, “Red Bush” , “Red Leaf”, “Red Tea”. Rooibos is completely natural and contains no additives, preservatives or artificial coloring. Rooibos contains no caffeine. Rooibos gives pale red color liquor.
Green tea has been around for more than 4000 years. Chinese folklore attributes the discovery of green tea as a drink to a Chinese leader from that era named Sheng Nong. It is said leaves of the tea tree fell into a pot that he used to boil his water. After tasting the sweet taste of the tea he proclaimed it was a gift from heaven and added green tea to his list of medicinal herbs.
Black tea is fermented and oxidized, giving the leaves a reddish-brown color. The form of the leaves may be in whole, unbroken leaves, or tiny broken pieces. The brewed liquor is amber to dark red with flavors ranging from malty to fruity
