About Dr. Ola Hassan

Ola Hassan has been a resident of Milpitas and the surrounding area for over 40 years. Ola has been instrumental in Milpitas and Silicon Valley as a celebrated Senior Engineer, Engineering Executive and small to medium size Business Owner. Ola has raised millions of Dollars in investment to Silicon Valley Technology Companies and thousands of Dollars for School and Charitable Organizations.

Ola has always given back to his communities and many charitable organizations. He believes in Team work, fairness, hard work and integrity.

When it comes to adversity, Ola has overcome decapitating health issues that was not limited to multiple spinal operations, many eye surgeries, and other physical numerous surgeries that may leads to death and other issues. But through God and Perseverance, Dr. Ola is overcoming all obstacles resulted from the illness and Ready to Serve Milpitas Community.

Dr. Ola has given many motivational speeches to many Schools and Religion Organizations like Mission College, Morehouse College, San Jose State University 1983 graduating class of Industrial Technology and others. Dr. Hassan was awarded 2010 Aluminous of the Year where he gave a memorable speech to the 2010 graduating class.

Ola believes he is the right choice for Mayor of Milpitas because he wants to boldly advance the will of the community using his over 40 years of travelling and understanding many cultures across the Globe. We can not let Demography Divide us we need to use our diversity as a strength to unite us. Ola wants the community to have more influence and participation in the decisions of the Milpitas government and future development through open door policy.

Ola believes in the people of Milpitas and want to further work towards making Milpitas a wonderful place to live, work and play.

OLA’S POSITION

Leadership:

Milpitas Mayor’s vote is the same as other Cancel Members, I would be a team player Mayor to unite all the other council members to agree on subjects’ issues through team efforts by presenting correct analyzed data that will bring us together as a team. Also, I will not run or seek another term as a city council member in order to run for Mayor again. Encourage leadership /decision and interpersonal relationship training for all the Milpitas elected officials. Supports regular accountability to the community on issues. We need to stop recycling our politicians, let’s give new ideas a chance

Education:

Create system to integrate and align the City Government with MUSD (Milpitas Unified School Board) particularly on funding a. After School Programs, Mental Health, Provision of Necessary Needs for our Teachers, and Stronger PTA, Transportation, and strong financial support for low income and children of disadvantage families. Align with Small Business to offer summer job training for our high school students particularly the children of low income and disadvantage family.

Security:

Help our police by training of our residents in providing Neighborhood watch by dedicating a special phone line for citizens of Milpitas to report crimes when they notice one.

Affordable Housing and Homelessness:

increase the percentage of percentage low income on any new high-Density Homes. Don’t confuse mental health with Homelessness’, I will tackle mental health issues. I will also lead in rezoning of abandon business zoned properties; land, buildings or structures for residential use.

Developments/Business:

Expedite the development of Mid-Town Development, Partner with other surrounding Cities on Mutual Issues. Support assistance for existing businesses and developments, I will encourage more Science, Technology and Aerospace Companies to Milpitas and Milpitas School. Encouragements of Small Business.
